Just to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who again made our show a great success.
We decided this year we could not face putting up the Secretary’s marque again, especially after the weather last year! It was suggested at committee I just put a table outside my motorhome!! However, all agreed that we would hire one along with the judge’s tent and what a difference that made, we all felt quite relaxed. We also organised a ‘Buddy’ system this year to allow certain people to have a break and that also worked well.
There are too many names to mention in despatches but a special thanks to Pat and Linda for all your hard work in marking out the camping area and manning the gate. Each year you do a great job and we couldn’t manage without you.
To Dave, Harry, Ian, Gareth and Tony for doing all the heavy lifting jobs and helping with car parking etc, not sure whether you are ‘bullied’ into helping by your other halves, but we really do appreciate it!! Mustn’t forget to mention Rhonda and Dave who supply our judges lunches, always to a very high standard and enjoyed by everyone.
Thank you to all our judges and stewards, hope you all enjoyed your day. To Peter Height and Steve Rutter, our Chief Stay Stewards, a job well done. Thank you to our ticket judges, Dave Strickleton and Jackie Duck and congratulations to our ticket winners, Heather Grey and Sharon Dunstan.
Thank you to Steve and Audrey for organising the team event, I think we had a full house this year and there were plenty of spectators, the rain held off and everyone enjoyed themselves, thank you to Shirley Bowlas for judging, not an easy task!!
We re-thought our rubbish skips this year, after the problem we had last year, and I’m pleased to say the only bags we had to pick up were the ‘poo bags’, thank you everyone for using the skips provided.
Well done to all our happy winners, but I’m sure you all realise you take the best dog home.
I must just thank all of you who volunteered to judge next year, I thought I was going to have a problem finding judges for three days, haven’t sorted it out yet, but its looking good.
Don’t forget to book your holidays for our three-day event next year 3/4/5th August, ticket day will be Monday 5th August. Looking forward to it already!!
